Business Unit Summary
The Infrastructure Services Business Unit of Cenitex is responsible for the design, build, run and monitoring of infrastructure services to customers. This includes the strategic development of services and technologies; the lifecycle management of services and technologies; pricing of services; commercial management of vendors and contracts; the transition governance of service; while ensuring product alignment to customer needs. It is responsible for technologies such as the Cenitex server hosting platform, networks, security, identity, storage and recovery capabilities.

The Infrastructure Business Unit has two streams; Infrastructure Delivery and Infrastructure Strategy and Solutions.

Position Purpose

This position has organisational accountability for Infrastructure technologies to ensure that all services are strategically developed and in accordance with Cenitex’s commitments and corporate strategy.

This position is pivotal in advancing the technological change agenda through collaborating with our customers and all levels of management to implement, monitor, and review the services strategy. This includes ensuring inter-departmental collaboration beyond individual portfolios, particularly in carrying out organisational improvement initiatives and risk management processes.

This position promotes a customer-centric culture by ensuring the customer is at the centre of all activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivering financial results to targets and ownership of the P&L of the Infrastructure Services Business Unit.
  • In conjunction with the GM Infrastructure Delivery, shares responsibility for customer satisfaction of infrastructure services.
  • Lead and influence the organisation’s thinking, planning and approach to development and design strategy, drawing from industry best practice and emerging innovations in the infrastructure technology space.
  • Lead the establishment of infrastructure technology roadmaps (processes, tools and skills) that maximise Cenitex’s competitive advantage.
  • Leading a ‘security first’ approach to new services and customer proposals.
  • Generation of customer proposals aligned to technology and services roadmaps.
  • Lead continuous improvement of technology platforms and architecture through effective capacity planning and automation.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and peers regarding Infrastructure.
  • Participate in and play a key role in long-term strategic planning, building strong relationships and working collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and customers to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee the business operations of Infrastructure Strategy and Solutions (business planning, people, governance, finance and performance).
  • Provide strong direction and leadership, ensuring clear strategic objectives are in place to guide the work of the branch, all programs and activities are effective.
  • Collaborate with other members of the General Management Group to promote and achieve organisational cohesion, the development of a culture of continuous improvement, and the promotion and adherence of organisational values.
  • Provide advice, regular updates and reports to the CEO, Board and Executive Team including financial and risk management.
  • Effectively manage change management processes, encouraging innovation, diversity and continuous improvement.
  • Play a leadership role in creating and maintaining a positive organisational culture and an engaged Strategy stream.
  • Foster a culture that appropriately models the vision, values and commitments, ensuring that the safety, development and growth of staff within the Branch.
  • Any other duties as reasonably directed by Cenitex.

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Specialist Expertise and Experience

Substantial knowledge, capability and experience in leading Infrastructure functions with strong recognition as a leader in these technologies.

Significant track record in developing and leading high-performance teams, with proven ability to motivate, inspire and align teams to strategic priorities.

Superior stakeholder management skills with the ability to credibly communicate, negotiate and influence strategic outcomes at the most senior levels.

Strategic thinker and commercially astute, with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes that advance the long-term interests of an organisation.

Demonstrated experience initiating and championing complex changes that deliver customer-focussed outcomes and return on investment.

Education and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT, Engineering or Business and/or equivalent experience.

  • This role may be required to provide on-site support at various CBD, metropolitan and regional Victorian customer sites, and may require the team member to drive/travel distances and stay overnight in regional locations.
